Woods Cafe, Bangalow – SMH Good Food app review
A block off Bangalow’s main drag, tiny arts district The Lumber Yard packs a punch. Come mid-morning or lunchtime and Woods Cafe is your first port of call for chilled bulk beer and polenta cake flavored with maple and berries served by the slice. The vibe is somewhere between log cabin and weatherboard shack, there’s plenty of places to sit outside and it fills up quickly on a market day.
For breakfast? Avoid smoothies, potions, and macadamia pepper toast. For lunch? Try Turkish eggs with tahini scrambled yoghurt, or something on the specials board that might list wintertime seafood chowder, or a hearty meatball stuffed with Northern Rivers pork and fennel sausage.
Can’t get a table? Stop by Flo Records and peruse the carefully curated vinyl selection while you wait.
