scuba diving accident in Maldives: Maldives scuba diving accident latest update: When will bodies of Italian scuba divers be recovered? All details here

Three Finnish cave divers will join efforts in the Maldives on Monday to find and recover the bodies of four Italian scuba divers who died in an accident in underwater caves, the DAN network of European divers said. The team arrived on Sunday, DAN Europe said in a statement after the incident at Vaavu Atoll, where Italian divers explored caves 50 meters (165 feet) deep on Thursday.
The body of one of the Italian divers was recovered on Friday, the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said in a statement.

The statement said, “The body was removed from a cave structure at a depth of approximately 60 meters. It is assumed that the rest of the divers will be inside this cave, which is approximately 200 feet long.”
Finnish divers (Sami Paakkarinen, Jenni Westerlund and Patrik Grönqvist) will work with the MNDF and other authorities.

The death of MNDF diver Staff Sergeant Mohamed Mahudhee, who participated in the search, from decompression sickness on Saturday led the MNDF to temporarily suspend rescue efforts carried out in difficult weather and sea conditions.
