One of the national weather agency’s longest-serving executives is leaving the organization after almost a decade, and with the widely panned launch of its new $96 million website, former Coalition-era CEO Dr.

Dr. Peter Stone was acting director general in October last year when the Bureau of Meteorology’s (BoM) new $96 million website, $47 million over budget and plagued by years of delays, went live despite the site’s test scores falling sharply below acceptable levels.
