Gear shift: Bajaj Auto steers KTM closer to profitability in March quarter

Parent company Bajaj Mobility AG’s filings with the Austrian stock exchange showed KTM’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the March quarter was €5.5 million; On the other hand, there was an Ebitda loss of 55.8 million Euros in the previous year. Revenue rose 70% to €331 million as motorcycle sales more than doubled to 40,332 units; The net loss increased from 108 million Euros in the previous period to 35.1 million Euros. EBITDA is a financial metric used to evaluate a company’s operating performance, stripping out financing, accounting and tax implications.
