‘Don’t cap food prices’ and ’20ft from WW3′

"The bank warned Reeves not to limit food prices:" reads the headline on the front page of the Daily Telegraph.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the backlash against the government’s proposal to cap food prices includes Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey’s warning that it could be “unsustainable” and “risk a backlash”. Addressing MPs at a select committee, Bailey said the measure would amount to “effectively moving prices artificially relative to costs” and would create what another official called a “hugely distorted” economy. Celebrating Aston Villa’s 3-0 win against Freiburg, the Prince of Wales also chants on the front page under the headline “William will lead Villa to victory”.
