Galindo’s antisemitic comments come as he competes in a May 26 runoff election after receiving the most votes in the Democratic primary for the San Antonio-based district. Republicans redrew district lines earlier this year to increase the GOP’s chances of flipping the seat, but Democrats could still make the race competitive.

He accused his second-round opponent, Bexar County sheriff’s deputy Johnny Garcia, of getting paid through “Zionist terrorism and smuggling.”

“When Maureen enters Congress, she will write legislation that will ensure that Zionism and support for Zionism is unquestionably anti-Semitic, because Zionists harm Semites,” Galindo’s campaign wrote on social media last week.

Moskowitz said Democrats should do everything they can to make sure Galindo doesn’t get that chance.
