Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has already brought shame to his daughters and the Royal Family – now his alleged behavior threatens his mother’s spotless reputation. The files released this week include information about the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, who died in 2022. It reveals that Elizabeth was “very keen” for her son to take on “an important role in promoting the national interest”.
He specifically requested that he be appointed trade ambassador to the United Kingdom, presumably to instill common sense, maturity, responsibility and national pride in the playboy prince once nicknamed ‘Randy Andy’. Sir David Wright, then chief executive of British Trade International, said in a memo that he saw his son as “naturally suited” for the job because some files relating to his appointment in 2001 were released by the Government on Thursday.

But whatever her reasons, the late Queen’s appeal has backfired spectacularly and could now damage her own reputation as one of our most admired monarchs.
Andrew, who has denied any wrongdoing, was arrested on his 66th birthday at Sandringham in February and questioned on suspicion of misconduct in a public office.
Thames Valley Police are investigating allegations that Andrew, who posed as a Trade Ambassador, shared classified material with late pedophile sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew allegedly shared reports on business visits, passed a classified briefing on investments in Afghanistan and passed a Treasury briefing to a personal business contact.
But Government filings released this week show no vetting process before he secured the prestigious, unpaid role for which taxpayers financed his trips around the world.
In a memo to the then foreign and trade secretaries dated 25 February 2000, Sir David Wright wrote: “The Queen’s wish is that the Duke of Kent devolve this role to the Duke of York.
“The Duke of Kent will relinquish his responsibilities around April next year. This will be well suited to the end of the Duke of York’s active naval career.
“The Queen is keen for the Duke of York to take on a key role in promoting the national interest.
“No other member of the Royal Family will succeed the Duke of Kent. It seems a natural fit for the Duke of York to embrace this role.”
But Andrew’s ten years in the business, which he left in 2011, were not without controversy; even before his enduring and close friendship with convicted pervert Epstein came to light.

For example, in October 2008, a US ambassador wrote in a secret cable that Andrew spoke in a “smug” manner during an official meeting, leading to an argument that “escalated into rudeness”.
Diplomats in Bahrain reportedly dubbed him “His Majesty the Fool” because he did the opposite of what was agreed upon and was often rude.
Since then, the Epstein Files have brought forward a series of shocking allegations against Andrew.
He invited the recently released Epstein to Buckingham Palace in September 2010, promising him “plenty of privacy”.
Disturbing images contained in three million documents released by the US Department of Justice in January show Andrew crouching over a mystery woman who was lying on her back.
Meanwhile, Epstein’s emails to Andrew show him setting the then-Duke of York up for dinner with a “beautiful and reliable” 26-year-old Russian model.
More sinister emails show Andrew hailing Epstein’s escape from a sentence for procuring a 14-year-old for prostitution as “very good news indeed”.
Now these new files, Queen Elizabeth II. It shows Elizabeth’s complete disregard for her son’s mother’s trust, while jeopardizing her son’s reputation.
Andrew has already brought misery to his family thanks to the Epstein Files; Now she has weaponized republicans eager to dishonor her mother’s memory.
He should hang his head in shame, but it turns out that the vain former prince is immune to infamy.
