Vijay’s Jana Nayagan Continues to Face Censorship Delay

His upcoming Tamil movie Jana Nayagan is still awaiting its official certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film was originally planned to be released in a major theater in January for the Pongal festival. However, a complaint from a review committee member sent the film to the revision committee, causing a five-month delay. Despite the legal efforts of the producers, no solution has yet been provided by the courts.
Venkat K Narayana, producer of KVN Productions, addressed the media regarding the status of the film. He stated that the team is waiting for the censorship certificate. He assured fans that once the certification is received, the release date will be announced well in advance. The producer also stated that the film will have a massive release worldwide.
The lead actor of the film, Vijay, recently became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, befitting the title of the film. According to reports, Vijay even asked the producer to cut his Cannes visit short to handle the situation.
Jana Nayagan is directed by H Vinoth and produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. It stars Vijay, Mamitha Baiju, Pooja Hegde and Bobby Deol in prominent roles.
