Teen biker in fight for life after crash near Queensland’s main highway

The young man who collided with his motorcycle was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services were called to Lindeman Drive in Bloomsbury, Queensland, shortly after 2pm on Saturday following a collision between a motorbike and another vehicle.
It was learned that the cyclist, who was thought to be a teenage boy, was fighting for his life as a result of the injuries he received in the accident.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed the motorcyclist would be taken to hospital for further treatment and paramedics would attend at the scene immediately after the incident.
The incident occurred near one of Queensland’s major roads, between the Bruce Highway and Midge Point.
A section of Lindeman Drive had to be closed to traffic so the air ambulance could arrive and fly the child to the hospital.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman told the Courier Mail that paramedics were at the scene working on the teenager, who fell off his motorbike after crashing into a car.
Fire crews are also at the scene.
