“Our idea now is to basically make small gains, small successes here and there, instead of these mega projects,” says Abdullah. “For example, the Red Sea island resort of Sindalah might be a small win that they could promote; it’s basically a very traditional resort style and could still be presented as part of the vision rather than the likes of The Line and The Cube. And so they could say ‘these represent the core of Neom and we didn’t need to have everything’.”
