One killed as shed collapses due to gusty winds in Peddapalli district

A shepherd lost his life when his shed collapsed during a short period of unseasonal rain accompanied by strong winds in Gollapalli village in Odela mandal of Peddapalli district on Monday evening.

The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Lakshmaiah from Gollapalli.

Sources said the incident took place late on Monday evening when a part of the shed collapsed on Mr. Lakshmaiah under the influence of heavy storms.

Meanwhile, sudden unseasonal rain was witnessed in many parts of Peddapalli and Karimnagar districts on Monday evening.

Sources added that summer showers left some of the paddy stored at the purchasing center at Ganneruvaram in Karimnagar district drenched.
