The match did not disappoint.
It was a hard hit and the tempo was fast; It was almost difficult to keep track of what was going on because neither Okada nor Takeshita could stay down for very long. The crowd at Louis Armstrong Stadium chanted “Fight forever!” shouted slogans. while each man rained blows on each other.
Okada would nail Takeshita with a Tombstone Piledriver followed by his patented Rainmaker. However, after the referee counted to one, Takeshita stood up. Takeshita reached as deep into his soul as he could and hit Okada with his own version of the Rainmaker.

Takeshita finished Okada with Raging Fire and got the win, becoming the new AEW international champion. He won the AEW International Championship for the second time, representing the only singles title he was able to achieve in the company.
Takeshita’s moment of joy did not last long. He had to keep his head turning. Just as the Don Callis Family looked like they were going to completely ruin his night, Kyle Fletcher’s music hit and sent the crowd into a frenzy.
As Fletcher walked to the ring, everyone in Callis’ group watched with curiosity to see what he would do. At first he hugged Takeshita and raised his hand to congratulate him.
But it didn’t last long.
Fletcher clotheslined Takeshita and then hit him with the belt as Rocky Romero and Mark Davis lifted him up.
