Eric Ronald Riley charged with murder of eight-week-old baby in Perth

A man has been charged with murdering an eight-week-old baby.

Police allege a baby was seriously injured and later died in the incident in Innaloo, north of Perth, on Saturday.

Detectives charged 23-year-old Eric Ronald Riley with murder following the baby’s death.

He appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday and was remanded in custody.

The matter was referred to Stirling Gardens Magistrates’ Court, where Mr Riley will appear on 24 June.
