Giants rookie Francis Mauigoa pranks Jaxson Dart with custom Miami Hurricanes jersey
For all the talk of the New York Giants’ locker room being fractured, it seems certain that those narratives couldn’t be further from the truth.
After Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart was called out on social media over the weekend by former first-round pick Abdul Carter for his open support of President Donald Trump, many in the media speculated whether this could cause discord in the ranks.
If what we see on social media is true, no one in New York needs to worry.

Rookie offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa posted a video to X in which he “gifted” his new quarterback a custom Miami Hurricanes jersey, and Dart’s reaction is absolutely priceless.

The Hurricanes jersey is complete with a “VRBO Fiesta Bowl” commemorative patch.
For those who don’t know, Miami (Mauigoa’s college team) secured a berth in the national championship game against Indiana by beating Ole Miss (Dart’s college team) in the Fiesta Bowl this past January.
It’s a great joke, but more than that, it shows that the locker room wasn’t quite torn apart after Dart’s public appearance at Trump’s speaking event over the weekend.

Mauigoa declared he would “die for” his quarterback on NFL Draft night, so it’s good to know those sentiments don’t vary based on political leanings.
And for those accusing Mauigoa of being a closet Trump supporter, here’s the big man saying that if he could invite one celebrity to his first game as a Giant, it would be Barack Obama.
Dart loves Trump. Mauigoa loves Obama.

Yet here they are, laughing and blithely chiding about their commitment to college football, just as men do to each other.
There are no hard feelings between the two, and if there were, they were settled behind closed doors and not on social media.

The Giants will be in good shape because they have players like Mauigoa and Dart who can put aside any political differences they may have for the good of the team.
There are plenty of people on the internet right now who could take a page from these two young people’s books.
