Woman threatened with knife in attempted kidnapping in Liverpool

Two men allegedly pursued a young woman through western Sydney before trying to kidnap her at knifepoint after she jumped out of her car to change a flat tyre.
Police officers rushed to Browne Parade in Liverpool at around 2.30pm on Tuesday following reports of the attack.
Police said when they arrived at the scene, they spoke with a 27-year-old woman who said she had been attacked by a man “after stopping to change a flat tire on her car.”
“Police were also told the man allegedly threatened the woman with a knife before trying to drag her towards a KIA SUV, but members of the public intervened and the man left the scene,” police said.
The woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for facial and leg injuries before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Around 4 p.m., police arrested a 22-year-old man along the Duck Creek river in Auburn and a 24-year-old man on West St in Auburn.
Both men were charged with armed robbery, aggravated robbery and use of bodily violence.
Police said the men would claim in court that they “waited for the woman in a Liverpool car park before following her car into Browne Parade”.
Both men were refused bail to appear before Parramatta Court on Wednesday.
