Vivek Demands Apology From Suman For Remarks

Adilabad: Labor and Mines Minister Gaddam Vivek on Wednesday criticized former MLA Balka Suman for allegedly making controversial statements and instigating cadres and demanded her apology to the people of Telangana.

Speaking to the media after visiting the Tekumatla IKP paddy procurement center at Chennur in Mancherial district, he said the remarks were an attempt to disturb peace in the state. He claimed that the statements reflected a tendency to target government institutions for personal gain.

The minister questioned the source of funds allegedly spent by Suman in the last Assembly elections and referred to a slogan attributed to her during the elections.

He alleged that BRS leaders were instigating farmers against the government. Assuring farmers, the official said that the supply will continue until June 6 and the government will purchase the entire product. He said there was a high yield of paddy this agricultural season and asked farmers not to panic.

He added that the government has requested Singari Collieries Company Limited to arrange trucks to transport paddy to rice mills and godowns.
