There are traffic delays near Swansea and Port Talbot in Wales due to multiple incidents on the M4. The A48 Briton Ferry Bridge has been closed in both directions following an incident attended by South Wales Police who told members of the public to avoid the area. Expert negotiators arrived at the scene this morning after hearing concerns about the welfare of a woman on the bridge.

Elsewhere, long queues are forming on the M4 near Port Talbot due to ongoing urgent repairs. One lane between J41 (Baglan) and J40 (Taibach) is closed in both directions while barriers are repaired, causing queues towards J42 at Swansea East and Britton Ferry.
