Lead prosecutor on Comey’s ‘seashells’ case withdraws without explanation

The attorney general has been tasked with overseeing the prosecution of former FBI Director James Comey stemming from his employment. seashell mail The Justice Department withdrew the case from allegations that it posed a threat to President Donald Trump, according to a court filing.

Matthew Petracca was the only prosecutor from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina assigned to the case when it was sealed late last month.

A Justice Department spokesman did not immediately respond to ABC News’ request for comment.
