Minorities To Get Rs 20 L Aid for Overseas Study

Hyderabad: The minorities welfare department has invited applications to award the Prime Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Program (spring season-2026) to pursue masters and doctoral programs in foreign countries.

Students belonging to minority communities who received admission between 1 January and 30 June 2026 can apply through the website https://telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in/ between 1 and 30 June. The deadline for submitting the required documents to the regional minority social assistance offices is July 31.

Selected candidates will be given financial assistance of Rs 20 lakh along with one-way fare of up to Rs 60,000 or actual fare, whichever is lower. The program covers admissions to universities in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Germany, South Korea, Japan, France and New Zealand.
