SIT Notice To Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam In Phone-Tapping Case

Hyderabad: Police said Mahbubnagar MLA Yennam Srinivas Reddy was served a notice by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the alleged unauthorized phone tapping and was asked to be interrogated in connection with Crime No. 243.
In the notification issued under Section 160 CrPC, Deputy Commissioner of Police, SIT Investigating Officer P. Venkatagiri stated that investigation revealed that Srinivas Reddy had knowledge of the facts and circumstances of the case.
The officer said that a notice had been issued to the MLA earlier to appear before the SIT on July 7, 2025. The most recent communication was considered a second notification.
Srinivas Reddy has been directed to appear in person before the investigating officer at the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) of the Commissioner’s Office at 11 am on Monday for examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
Earlier, Srinivas Reddy had filed a complaint with the then city police commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy, alleging that his phone was tapped by the Telangana State Level Agency (TSLA) during the tenure of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government.
