Over 56,000 qualify JEE (Advanced) 2026; Shubham Kumar secures AIR 1

More than 56,000 candidates took the Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced Level) 2026, the results of which were announced on Monday, June 1, 2026.
A total of 56,880 candidates passed the entrance, which is considered one of the toughest exams in the country. Of the total, 10,107 were women.

Shubham Kumar from IIT Delhi region secured the top spot in the Common Rank List (CRL) by scoring 330 out of 360 marks.
Arohi Deshpande from IIT Delhi region emerged as the top-ranked female candidate with an All India Ranking (CRL) of 77 points. It received 280 points out of 360 points.
A total of 1,79,694 candidates appeared in both the 1st and 2nd papers of JEE (Advanced) 2026 held on 17 May 2026.
Kabeer Chhillar secured the second position by scoring 329 points. Jatin Chahar came third with 319 points.
Shubham Kumar said that he was happy to be ranked at the top.
“I had been preparing for JEE Advanced for the last two years and was hoping that my hard work would help me achieve a good rank. I feel very happy now that I have achieved All India Rank 1,” said Shubham. PTI Videos.
