Bombay HC quashes FIR against doctor who reported late to COVID centre

The Bombay High Court set aside the First Information Report filed against a doctor who arrived at the facility with delay despite being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and being directed to report to a COVID-19 centre. The court ruled that the material on record did not support accusations of disobeying orders of public officials or actions likely to spread infection.

Justice Urmila Joshi-Phalke of the Bombay High Court, Dr. Bhagwandas quashed FIR against Shankardas Zawar. The case involved Dr., who was part of the 108 ambulance service. It was recorded on the complaint of Vinayak Shankar Bhalerao.
