Claiming that it is his dream to position Telangana as a gateway not only to the country but to the entire world, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy sought the unwavering support and cooperation of the people to achieve this.

It is the firm determination of the people’s government to achieve an economy worth US$ 1 trillion by 2034 and US$ 3 trillion by 2047. The Prime Minister said the roadmap to achieve this is laid out in the Telangana Uprising – 2047 document, which is not just a statement on paper but a commitment of the government.

The Prime Minister addressed the gathering after unfurling the national flag on State Foundation Day at the Parade in Hyderabad on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. In addition to the units belonging to different branches of art of the state, he also examined the guard of honor presented by 10 units.

intense heat conditions

Mr. Reddy acknowledged the intense heat conditions gripping the state and the city by pushing ahead with the celebrations to avoid discomfort to the participants. He then cut his speech short by touching on the rising temperatures and asked people to be careful against the sweltering heat.

In his speech, which lasted approximately 30 minutes, the Prime Minister complained that there was no clear clarity on the path and direction to be followed after the formation of the State. The situation at that time was such that the future of the state seemed to be determined only by the whims and ideas of a select few. “This is precisely why the people’s government has formulated a comprehensive master plan for the State,” he said, adding that Telangana Rising-2047 has the transformative power to position the State not only as a major player in the nation but also as a global gateway to the world.

There was no single master plan covering the entire State anywhere in the country, and the State was the pioneer of this concept. Moreover, the vision document had divided the State into three categories (TREATMENT, PURE and RARE) by adopting a three-stage development strategy.

The Prime Minister detailed initiatives such as the Gig Workers Bill, social security for elderly parents, quality rice for the poor and the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme, claiming that these were designed as part of the welfare of the people and also enhance self-esteem.

He recalled how the people elected the Congress Government by defeating the feudal mindsets and authoritarian forces and said the government launched its spree of welfare and development schemes in the right earnest targeting different sections. Free bus travel for women under Mahalakshmi scheme has enabled women to save Rs. 10,000 crore in 30 months, LPG cylinders at subsidized prices and other schemes also benefited them. With the initiatives such as supermarkets and rice mills proposed by the government, women were now ready to become entrepreneurs.

Notification before month end

Simultaneously, steps were initiated to reform recruitment boards such as the Public Service Commission and approximately 67,735 vacancies were filled in record time for the benefit of youth. The Civil Service Commission will issue further notifications regarding recruitment before the end of this month.

Mr. Reddy recalled how revolutionary initiatives towards reforms in the education sector helped provide opportunities to the youth. Upgrading of old ITIs to ATCs enabled 838 of the 1,190 students who passed out to find gainful employment in large commercial organisations.
