Henry Nowak murderer Vickrum Digwa faces new weapons charges alongside brother and father

Vickrum Digwa, his brother and his father appeared in court charged with multiple weapons-related offences.

Digwa, 23, was sentenced to at least 21 years in prison on Monday for the murder of 18-year-old Henry Nowak in Southampton.

He appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday facing six charges of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

The alleged weapons include a knife, an extendable baton, brass knuckles, machetes, swords and kusaris.

Vickrum went up to the scaffolding accompanied by two security guards. He was wearing a dark suit, blue tie and blue turban.

His father Moga Singh (52) and brother Gurpreet Digwa (27) also faced the same charges.

Gurpreet faced four additional charges: possession of an offensive weapon, asp, in a public place; possession of a prohibited weapon, air rifle; possession of an ax in a public place; and possession of a knife, kirpan in a public place.

All of the crimes were dated December 4, 2025; This was the day after Mr Nowak was stabbed to death with a kirpan, a Sikh ceremonial knife, in Southampton.

Natalie Angel, prosecuting the case, asked the judges for time to consider what charges the prosecution would pursue against the three defendants.

“A number of weapons have been seized in this case, the defense has put forward possible criminal charges,” he told the court.

Harmail Gill, defending all three family members, asked for an adjournment of at least four weeks for both sides to consider the charges.

He told the court this would allow them “to be in a position where we wouldn’t be able to get to court day without knowing what charges the Crown would proceed with”.

Chief magistrates Jennifer Pitt adjourned the hearing until the next hearing on July 9.

By then, he had released Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa on unconditional bail, while Vickrum Digwa was released on technical bail while serving his prison sentence.

Ms Pitt told the three defendants: “We have been asked to adjourn the matter and we are prepared to do so as we think it would be in the interests of justice to look at the charges and decide exactly what may or may not proceed so we know what will happen at the next date.”
