The Princess of Wales appeared to give a secret nod to her estranged sister-in-law Meghan Markle during her latest appearance in London. Princess Catherine looked radiant as she attended a private ceremony alongside the King, Queen and other royals at St James’s Palace on Tuesday evening.
This marked the 125th anniversary of Cancer Research UK. Both the King and the princess were diagnosed with cancer in 2024, but Catherine is currently in remission and the monarch is still receiving treatment. The future Queen dazzled with her red polka-dot dress, red high-heeled shoes and red bag, as well as diamond and ruby jewelry.
But there was additional significance behind Catherine’s dress designer.

The princess opted for Rodarte’s printed silk twill red midi dress; Both the long and short versions were already sold online in most sizes.
Rodarte is a well-known American brand founded in 2005 by sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy and headquartered in Los Angeles, California.
The sisters first began making their creations in Pasadena, Los Angeles.
Los Angeles holds a special place in Meghan Markle’s heart as it’s her hometown, and although she currently lives in Montecito, she returns there regularly.
In November 2025, he was seen filming a small cameo on the set of Amazon MGM Studios.
Earlier this year, in January, he also rushed to help people in Pasadena following the devastating wildfires in California.

On Tuesday Princess Catherine and TV presenter Davina McCall spoke about their cancer experience as the broadcaster was diagnosed with breast cancer in October last year, but said “all is well” now after surgery in April.
McCall, who had surgery to remove a benign brain tumor in 2024, told Catherine it was “an absolute honor” to meet her.
The pair discussed McCall’s cancer experience, with the TV host telling the princess it was “liberating” to talk about it publicly.
He described the Future Queen as “really wonderful” and added: “It was a really wonderful transformation and they (the King, Queen and princess) are all wonderful.
“I can’t imagine what it’s like to have to tell people about it after going through something like cancer, even though it would be so much easier and nicer to not have to share it with the world.”
Catherine was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in early 2024, for which she underwent chemotherapy and was revealed to be in remission 16 months ago in January 2025.
He returned to international travel last month, making his first overseas royal visit since his cancer diagnosis, heading to Reggio Emilia, near Bologna, Italy, on a solo study trip as part of his early years studies.
