CBS News fires correspondent Scott Pelley from 60 Minutes

CBS has since laid off a number of employees (more than 6% of its workforce) and shuttered its long-established radio division. After the final season of 60 Minutes ended on May 17, the network fired executive producer Tanya Simon and longtime reporters Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega and hired Bilton to run the show.
