Supreme Court Rejects Plea Seeking Time-Bound Case Disposal Norms

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to accept a plea seeking to frame guidelines for time-bound determination of cases.
A bench comprising Justices Vikram Nath and V Mohana also rejected a plea filed by a lawyer seeking to frame uniform, structured and enforceable guidelines for issuing stays in all courts across the country.
The defense also requested the creation and implementation of a uniform national case flow management policy that can be applied to all courts in the country.
