Alan Brazil reveals he’s had a liver transplant – and his heart stopped beating on the operating table – after years of all-day drinking sessions

talkSPORT legend Alan Brazil has revealed his life-saving surgery was a liver transplant.

The 66-year-old actor has been off the air for several months as he makes his regular Breakfast Show presentation, but returned briefly on Thursday to update listeners on his health.

The former Manchester United striker was on the operating table for several hours and admitted his heart stopped at one point.
