Lyndsey Fifield, the ex-girlfriend of Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, criticized the New York Times for allegedly toning down harassment allegations and said the report was a “gift” to the Democrat’s campaign.
After speaking to the New York Times about Platner’s history of being a “narcissistic abuser,” Fifield claimed that the report did not include endorsements from other women she had presented and left out screenshots and other evidence she provided.
“Why does he say ‘nobody could verify’ when I present them with sources he can verify?” He wrote to X.
“Where were the screenshots they said they would use? Or the mention that I support local Democrats and that most of my family (and my husband) are liberal? The editors said that was too much, they explained. The Times also did not include any mention that Graham had admitted to harassing multiple friends over the years, long before he ran for office. These friends confirm they told the Times this.”
