Rajasthan formulating five-year plan for domestic piped natural gas supply infrastructure

Following the introduction of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) policy, the government of the Bharatia Janata Party in Rajasthan creates a five -year action plan for local users for local -pipe natural gas and compressed natural gas supply.
Provision of cooking gas for internal consumption through underground pipelines is a relatively new concept in Rajasthan. The action plan is expected to encourage green energy as well as meeting the targets set by the center in oil and natural gas sectors.
The CGD policy, approved by the State Cabinet last week, envisions the expansion of pipe natural gas and CNG networks in small towns and urban areas through simplified and time -related regulatory procedures. It will supply clean, safe and environmentally friendly natural gas to reduce carbon emissions throughout the state.
Director Secretary (Minens and Petrol) T. Ravikanth said in a statement on Wednesday that 1.25 Lakh households will provide a pipe natural gas to the people and a target will start 89 new CNG stations throughout the current financial year. Authorized, natural gas during the supply and transport of security standards will be followed, he said.
While interacting with the representatives of the 13 CGD institution, Mr. Ravikanth emphasized to encourage the green energy that the watch needs. “The CGD policy brought provisions to allow agencies on time. Committees were established at regional level to deal with issues and provide better coordination,” he said.
Ravikanth said that the Information Technology Department was prepared with the help of the executive, coordination and monitoring works. The action plan is expected to accelerate slipping towards cleaner fuel options and reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels.
At the end of the existing fiscal year, it is recommended to discard new pipelines of 2,000 km for domestic gas supply in eight cities of the state, including Jaipur. The mining and oil department asked CGD institutions to prepare roadmaps to lay the pipelines and send them to the state government.
The release of domestic cooking gas connections will follow connections through large -scale pipelines in the industrial areas of the state. Ravikanth said the state government is serious in promoting natural gas use and published its CGD policy with this target.
Rajasthan State Gas Limited General Manager Ranveer Singh said that the CGD policy will help to develop infrastructure facilities for institutions and create a sustainable gas -based ecosystem.
