Prabhas’ upcoming period action drama Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, has become the center of fans’ disappointment as the makers continue to remain silent on the progress of the film. Without any official update or release date announcement from the team, Prabhas fans started the hashtag #GiveUsFauziUpdateASAP which is currently trending on X and other social media platforms.

Initially, there were rumors that the film was aiming for a Dasara release, but with the festival release schedule getting increasingly crowded and no confirmation from the makers, fans started questioning the prolonged silence of the production house Mythri Movie Makers. Many are demanding clarity regarding the film’s release plans and promotional schedule.

A significant portion of Fauzi is reportedly complete, making the lack of updates even more confusing for fans. The film is expected to be Prabhas’ next theatrical release and is set up as a pan-India project. While newcomer Imanvi plays the female lead, Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music.

Set against the backdrop of pre-Independence India in the 1940s, Fauzi features Prabhas as a rebel soldier standing against British rule. Director Hanu Raghavapudi recently appealed to fans not to encourage leaks and emphasized that the team is working hard to create a unique cinematic experience that should be enjoyed collectively in theatres.

Industry sources claim that Fauzi has been produced on a huge budget of around ₹400 crore. The protagonist of the film is said to be a multi-layered character inspired by legendary archetypes from Indian epics. Sources suggest that the role carries traces of Karna’s valor, Arjuna’s strategic genius and Ekalavya’s self-taught warrior spirit, adding a mythological dimension to the historical narrative.

With expectations rising and fans’ impatience increasing day by day, all eyes are now on Mythri Movie Maker for the much-awaited first major update of Fauzi.
