The Volusia Sheriff’s Office in Florida shared harrowing footage of a woman being rescued from the ocean at New Smyrna Beach on Saturday.
The footage, which appears to be from a police officer’s body camera, shows an officer charging into shallow water and beginning to pull the unresponsive woman from the water.
As the officer began dragging the woman to safety, it appeared another person stepped in to help the officer carry the woman.
“At 10:15 this morning, deputies were flagged down for a swimmer in distress in the ocean at New Smyrna Beach.
