Hollywood Calling, Hrithik?

Hrithik Roshan has been the global star of Bollywood for years. Now Hollywood may finally be looking back. The actor signed a deal with Anonymous Content, the powerhouse behind acclaimed games such as Spotlight, The Revenant and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The company’s description of him as one of India’s highest-grossing actors immediately fueled speculation about a possible Hollywood candidacy.

What makes the timing particularly interesting is that Hrithik recently admitted that filmmakers were looking at him through a limited lens. He has publicly expressed his desire to play more unconventional, layered characters rather than being cast as the permanent hero.

With Krrish 4 on the horizon and global representation now assured, the real question is not whether Hrithik can take on Hollywood. What matters is whether Hollywood will offer him the kind of roles he thinks Bollywood doesn’t offer.
