Jennifer Lopez discussed who she would have sex with, her love of toxic romances, and healing from her ‘acrimonious’ Ben Affleck breakup in a new interview.
She talks to Office Romance star Brett Goldstein on his podcast: Movies to Be Buried TogetherLopez, 56, got a little fruity when talking about her love for the movie True Romance.
The film tells the story of a popular culture enthusiast who steals cocaine from his new wife’s pimp and tries to sell it in Hollywood, causing the gangsters who own the drugs to go after the couple.
He said: ‘There are all these antiquated characters in this movie. Val Kilmer plays Christian Slater, who works in this record store and has hallucinations of Elvis…
‘Patricia Arquette couldn’t be better as the sweetest whore with a heart of gold.
‘And then there’s Dennis Hopper and his father, Christopher Walken, in one of the greatest scenes of all time between two actors, followed by Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini as the stonemason… Gary Oldman…
‘I would have sex with any of them, which says a lot about my dark side. ‘They were all very good in this movie.’

She also told how her father ‘healed’ her from the Ben Affleck breakup (pictured together in November 2023)
He continued: ‘Their performances in these scenes were so top-notch and so dynamic…
“Patricia and James Gandolfini, the way she walks in, they’re beating the shit out of each other, Christian Slater comes in and saves her, and he has that face for the rest of the movie, but it’s still very sexy. Anyway, I’m down there.
‘Gold teeth, everything, braids, I like it.’
Jennifer also told Brett that she went through a tough time with her divorce from Ben Affleck and how her father helped heal her.
The singer and actress, who has 18-year-old twins Max and Emme from her ex-husband Marc Anthony, separated from her fourth husband in August 2024.
He admitted that the 2024 Oscar-winning Brazilian biopic I’m Still Here made a big impact on him as he struggled to grapple with his complex emotions.
Brett asked him: ‘What is the movie that changed the way you look at something or made you see the world in a new way?’
He replied: ‘I became very ill at Christmas time a few years ago. My family was in town. My father, my mother, my cousin, everyone.
‘My father [David] He is not a man who sits and watches movies. my mother [Guadalupe] it was all about movies, entertainment, musicals and everything; I got all this from him.’
Her father has agreed to watch the film – we see Fernanda Torres portraying the real-life Eunice Paiva, whose politician husband Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello) disappeared with him during Brazil’s 1964-85 military dictatorship.
Jennifer noted: ‘I think it’s because I’m sick. And at that time in my life, I was going through a divorce and I was thinking a lot about my children.
Jennifer was spotted having fun in Paris on Wednesday evening wearing a £539 Aje Ecliptica dress.
These remarks come after Jennifer brutally shaded her A-list ex-husband Ben as he said his next great life was ahead of him.
‘Like you do when something like this happens in your life, [we watched a movie].
‘My father was sitting there and something happened in my head and I started crying; I began to calculate everything that happened with my children, my experience with my father, as if everything happened at once.
‘My whole family knew that I was going through a difficult time… He turned around and saw my face. I was trying to cry silently; ‘When I tried to cry quietly it was like all the tears, like water was gushing down my face.’
The Hustlers star recalled her father asking what was wrong, a tender moment between them, which helped Jennifer “move on” from her struggles.
He recalled: ‘I said, ‘Fathers are very important.’ And he came up to me and held my face and said: “I love you. I’ve always loved you.” And that changed my life at that moment.
‘[It] it healed a part of me that needed to be healed in order to kind of move forward from that part of my life and those types of relationships in my life. So this movie changed me and helped me grow.’
After Brett thanked her friend for the “beautiful story,” Jennifer laughed through her tears and asked: “Are you going to cry too?” Cry with me! Why do you leave me alone?’

Jennifer also opened up about going through a tough time with Brett (pictured) during her divorce from Ben Affleck and how her father got her through.
She and Brett play lovers in a new movie she co-wrote called Office Romance.
While promoting Netflix rom-com Office Romance, she spoke candidly about her love life and boldly said that her greatest love was still to come.
Jennifer appeared on an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in an episode that aired on Tuesday.
The 58-year-old chat show host asked herself: ‘Do you think your next great love is ahead of you?’
‘I think it’s me… yes,’ said the huge star without hesitation. ‘My greatest love is 100 percent in front of me. No doubt.”
Lopez said ‘yes’ to Affleck in 2022, but filed for divorce on the second anniversary of their marriage.
During the new podcast interview, Jennifer talked about her love for the movie Nine and a Half Weeks with Brett. Jennifer details her penchant for toxic love when Brett asks which movie gave her a ‘troubling faux pas’.
She said: ‘I love the love they have and their obsession with each other.
‘HE [Kim Basinger] I knew she was dark and not good and very mysterious but that’s what made her sexy and beautiful but she also knew she was toxic
‘We knew now that it didn’t work, but we didn’t use the word that much at the time.
‘If we saw now, [shouts] TOXIC! This is so scary, look what you made him do. You want him to get out of this situation, but I didn’t want him to get out of this situation. ‘I loved every moment.’
Jennifer also appreciates the ending of The Notebook, in which an elderly couple in love dies peacefully in bed.
Jennifer said: ‘There is nothing more romantic.
‘That’s what everyone wants, to have that connection and to love someone so deeply that you can’t imagine your life without them.’
