Victim of murder, 26, named after stabbing | UK | News

Police investigating the murder of a man near London have identified the man as Gurbhej Singh. Mr Singh, 26, suffered stab wounds on North Road, Southall, near the junction with Dormers Wells Lane, on June 10.

At 12.41pm, Metropolitan Police officers attended along with paramedics and it was determined that two people were injured. Despite all the interventions of medical personnel, it was determined that Mr. Singh died at the scene. His family continues to be supported by specialist police.

The second man, in his 30s, was treated in hospital and released. Seven men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. The Met Police said six men were released without further action following further inquiries and one was released on bail to return at a later date.

Detective chief inspector Alison Foxwell, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Homicide detectives continue to investigate the tragic death of Mr Singh and my thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

“We believe he was attacked outside a shop at the junction of North Road and Dormers Well Lane at around 12.300pm.

“I would appeal to anyone who was watching the area on CCTV or who was in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police to come forward and speak to police.”
