Princess Kate looks seriously unimpressed as protesters boo her and kids | Royal | News

Princess Kate appeared seriously unimpressed as anti-monarchists booed her and her children during Trooping the Color this weekend. The Princess of Wales was caught on camera reacting to taunts directed at George, 12, Charlotte, 11, and Louis, 8, as they rode in a carriage during the annual celebrations.
While keeping her upper lip stiff and not reacting directly to the booing, Kate appeared visibly unimpressed by the antics staged by the anti-monarchy Republican group. Protesters were also heard chanting “Not my King” during the flight, which they said was an attempt to hold the Royal Family accountable for what they knew about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. The royal family continued to unfurl umbrellas that read ‘Stop the Reign’ as they stood on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.
The King’s official birthday celebrations ended without a hitch, marked by military pomp and pageantry displaying their best ceremonial prowess in the Army’s Horse Guards Parade in front of thousands of spectators.
Princess Kate and Prince William’s three children were in the spotlight during the event, and royal fans were especially delighted with eight-year-old Louis.
At one point, the young prince was seen leaning over to peer through a half-open window to catch a glimpse of Trooping the Colour, then leaning to the side to get a better view of the fly passing by.
Trooping the Color is a historical ceremony in which colors or regimental flags are “draped” or paraded in front of soldiers so that they can be recognized as rallying points in battle.
The ceremony became the head of state’s official birthday celebration and this year the squadron’s color was the Color of the King’s Grenadier Guard, presented by the King earlier this week during a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Charles inspected the troops from a carriage, passing the ranks of just over a thousand guardsmen from the Grenadier, Scottish, Irish and Coldstream Guard regiments, and then stood to salute as the colors were passed by him, first slowly, then quickly, by the soldiers.
The troop parade has become as much a social event as it is a ceremonial event, with the stands around the Horse Guards Parade filled with approximately 8,000 guard family members and officers in the parade.
The national celebration is also one of the most important moments in the royal calendar; The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the traditional flyover of RAF aircraft.
