Meghan Markle turns on Prince Harry over surprise public appearance | Royal | News

It was claimed that Prince Harry’s appearance at Game 5 of the NBA Finals without Meghan Markle did not bother the Duchess of Sussex, but the seating arrangement did.

According to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Meghan was unimpressed that Harry, 41, was seen sitting a few rows back rather than courtside at the exhibition basketball event.

The Duke of Sussex attended the New York Knicks’ game against the San Antonio Spurs in Texas, but was seated in the eighth row, not among the celebrity guests closest to the court.

A source told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack, “Meghan is all-knowing when it comes to image.

“So sitting is a status. It’s not just about watching the match; it’s also about who sees you watching the match.”

According to In Touch, the insider claimed that Meghan saw the seating chart as a reflection of status, especially when other high-profile figures were positioned courtside.

While celebs such as Timothée Chalamet and Ben Stiller sit closer to the action, the source claimed Meghan thinks Harry should receive similar treatment.

The source claimed: “Meghan believes Harry is one of the most recognizable men in the world. “She sees it as a message when he sits behind celebrities rather than next to them.

“Meghan knows Prince William and Princess Kate will be offered front-row treatment.”

But a separate source claimed Harry was far less concerned with where he sat and instead was just enjoying it.

“Harry loved the game and didn’t even think twice about the seating,” an insider told Shuter.

“That’s the difference between them. She sees a basketball game. Meghan sees a brand.

“For Meghan, image is everything. She believes every appearance sends a message. In her world, where you sit is almost as important as who you play.”
