Brits told to shop at M&S at exact time to save money | Personal Finance | Finance

Marks & Spencer is one of the UK’s favorite destinations for foodies, offering a range of delicious items, from fresh produce and cupboard staples to sweet snacks and more. Now a money-saving expert has revealed how Brits can take advantage of some discounted deals when shopping for groceries at M&S, saying it’s all about shopping at the right time.
Jordan Cox, known as the Coupon King, said people should arrive at 9am when stores open to “get the best deals”. This is because there will be a reduced number of items to choose from, the expert said in a new video. He explained: “Yellow tag sales are implemented overnight, so if you’re there at the crack of dawn you’ll get your first share of all the good stuff.” But Jordan also explained there’s another time shoppers should consider.
He said coming later in the day was the best option for those looking for discounted sweet treats from M&S bakeries.
Jordan, who appears regularly on ITV’s This Morning to share top money-saving tips, added: “But if you want cheaper croissants in the oven, around 4pm is the time you want them.”
In the description of his new YouTube video, Jordan described the yellow scaled-down stickers as the “holy grail” of M&S Food.
There are hundreds of M&S Food stores across the UK, with the number planned to reach 420 by April 2028.
The retail giant is increasingly investing in the food business.
Earlier this month, a larger M&S store on Tottenham Court Road in central London opened its doors to customers for the first time.
The store is 10,600 square meters and is located closer to the London Underground station; The previous store is now closed.
The store features a bakery and coffee counter serving barista-made drinks, as well as a Fresh Market Specials area offering a variety of seasonal items.
It is one of four new stores M&S is opening in London this financial year, with an additional six stores to be “transformed” in a move the retail giant says will create more than 150 new jobs in total.
The opening on Tottenham Court Road follows the opening of M&S’ Tooting Broadway food store last month.
