Visakhapatnam Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Monday emphasized the need for accurate and timely digitization of counting forms collected during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and directed Voter Registrars and Deputy Electoral Registrars to ensure that all collected forms are uploaded on the designated portal without delay.
At a review meeting held at the collectorate, Mr. Kishore assessed the progress in distribution, collection and digitization of forms, along with appointment of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs). He also said that BLOs carrying out revision work should not be given irrelevant tasks.
Mr. Kishore also called for coordination among government departments and instructed field staff to update records of deceased, migrated and duplicate voters as well as voters shifted to other polling stations.
He asked the authorities to complete the exercise before the July 14 deadline.
