Man Dies in Car Accident on Kadapa–Kurnool NH

Kadapa: A 50-year-old man died after being hit by a car on the Kadapa-Kurnool National Highway near Pedda Jonnawaram Metta in Duvvur mandal on Monday night.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Rekalakunta Pedda Subbarayudu, a resident of SC Colony in Pedda Jonnawaram village.

Police said Subbarayudu was returning home after work and was crossing the highway when he was hit by a car heading from Kurnool towards Kadapa. The seriously injured person died at the scene.

Subbarayudu was the only earning member of his family and is survived by his wife Jayalakshmamma.

Duvvur deputy inspector J. Dhanunjayudu said a case has been registered and investigation is on. The body was taken to Proddatur State Hospital for autopsy.
