2nd ransom note sent to Tucson TV station said she died

Various ransom notes were sent to the media in the days after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance.
The Guthrie family received two memos sent to Tucson media outlets that investigators deemed potentially credible and the FBI is trying to track down their origins.
The first note requested cryptocurrency for the return of Nancy Guthrie. According to sources, the second note states that he died shortly after being taken and was buried in nature.

The notes were taken a few days after Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, but ABC News had not previously disclosed the contents of the second note.
Shortly after receiving the second note, Savannah Guthrie released a statement in a Feb. 7 Instagram post.
“We got your message and we understand,” Savannah Guthrie said at the time. “Now we beg you to give us back our mother. … This is very valuable to us and we will pay the price.”

In March, Savannah Guthrie speaks in her first interview“Honestly, we don’t know anything,” she tells friend and former co-host Hoda Kotb.
Savannah Guthrie said her family “cannot be at peace” without answers and asked anyone with information to come forward.
“Someone can do the right thing, and it’s never too late to do the right thing,” he said.
