An invitation from the “most trusted media brands”. What’s the scam?

Murdoch’s News Australia invited “a select group of local businesses” to a workshop hosted by “Australia’s most trusted media brands”. What is fraud?

We were excited to be invited at first, until we realized that the promise of a “personalized 12-month marketing plan tailored to your business” wasn’t the most trusted of media brands behind it.

Rather, it came from the Murdoch stable of media brands, which collected more than 500,000 signatures a few years ago in support of the influence and distrust of the Royal Commission.

As last week’s University of Canberra Digital News report showed, trust in traditional media continues to decline, with four out of five News imprints at the bottom of the trust rankings.

Daily Terror Less than half of its readers find the wooden spoon reliable.
