The US military launched an attack on Iran on Friday in response to President Donald Trump saying Tehran was violating the ceasefire by launching drone strikes targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

US Central Command said its planes “hit Iran’s missile and drone depots and coastal radar sites.”

Central Command said on Thursday that Iran hit the Singapore-flagged cargo ship Ever Lovely with a one-way attack drone in the strait off the coast of Oman.

“The unwarranted attack by Iranian forces on commercial shipping clearly violated the ceasefire,” the Central Command said.
