Train delays on Perth’s Mandurah Line due to ‘technical issue’ causing major peak hour delays across network

Major delays during rush hour are affecting the morning commute of passengers boarding the train this morning.
TransPerth warned the public just before 8am about “technical issues” causing delays for people using the Mandurah line.
“Trains on the Mandurah Line are experiencing delays due to technical issues,” TransPerth’s social media post read.
“Trains will continue to run, although not on the normal schedule. Thank you for your patience.”
A TransPerth spokesman said problems with two trains were to blame.
“Services have been affected this morning after mechanical problems occurred on two separate trains on the Mandurah and Fremantle lines,” officials said.
“Trains continue to operate but will not run to the normal timetable. Transperth apologizes for any inconvenience caused to passengers by the delay.”
People using the train on Monday were told to prepare for the worst.
“Please allow extra travel time and note that delayed trains may not connect to scheduled bus and train services,” the website said. The statement was included.
It is not known when the flights will return to their normal schedule.
The service is responsible for transporting people to and from Perth, with 11 stops along the journey.
