Trump says Council of Economic Advisers head Pierre Yared is leaving

Pierre Yared is leaving his post as acting head of the White House Council of Economic AdvisersPresident Donald Trump said on Tuesday.

Trump said Yared, who has been in this position since September, “is returning to Columbia Graduate School, where he is highly respected by all.” Real Social post.

Yared “and the ‘Brainiac’ team at CEA worked day and night to Make America RICH Again – With Great Success!” Trump wrote. “I want to thank Pierre for his amazing service to our Country and wish him and his wonderful family the best for a healthy and happy future.”

According to the school’s data, Yared held the title of Professor of International Business in the economics department of Columbia Business School, which he attended in 2007. website.

CNBC’s efforts to reach Yared by phone and email in Columbia were not immediately successful.

The Council of Economic Advisers has provided information and advice to the president on both domestic and international economic policy since 1946.

It was not immediately clear who would replace Yared. The CEA’s official website still lists Yared as acting president, and St. Aaron Hedlund, a research associate at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, serves as a Fellow.
