Boy, 4, seriously injured after being hit by Range Rover while crossing road in Kent

Kent Police said a four-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car.

Police said a black Range Rover collided with a teenage pedestrian on Nelson Road in Gillingham at 4.12pm on Friday.

Detectives said the child was reported to have crossed the road before the incident.

While police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene, the seriously injured child was taken to a hospital in London for treatment.

While the child is recovering in hospital, detectives are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

The road has been closed as an investigation by Kent Police’s serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) has been completed and officers are now appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
