Two held for alleged theft of cow at Badiadka in Kasaragod

While the Badiadka police have arrested two persons from Mangaluru for the alleged theft of a cow in Kanyappady, an intense search is on for the three accused involved in the incident.

Those arrested are 21-year-old Rasiq from Jokatte, Mangaluru, and 26-year-old Muhammad Irbas from Ullal. They were detained in Mangaluru town on Friday afternoon.

Police also seized the car that was reportedly used to transport the stolen animal. During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed that the stolen cow was sold to a slaughterhouse in Ullal.

While the police stated that the arrested suspects would be referred to the courthouse, it was stated that efforts were intensified to capture and apprehend the remaining 3 suspects.
