UK weather maps shows 38 counties set for scorching 30C or above | Weather | News

Some areas in the UK could see temperatures rise to 30C or above again next week, as the latest forecast indicates another heatwave will hit the country.
The Met Office’s weather maps predict temperatures in 38 counties could reach at least 30C on Saturday, July 11. Heatwave conditions could develop next week and high pressure will remain the “dominant feature of the UK weather pattern”, the forecaster’s latest updates said.
Temperatures are expected to gradually increase, especially in southern and eastern England. Many southern and central areas are forecast to reach the high 20s, while parts of south-east England could climb into the low 30s.
In a separate forecast, WXCharts.com said temperatures could reach 30 degrees or higher in southern England on Saturday, July 11. However, warm conditions are also expected in parts of the Midlands and northern England. Along with London and the Home Counties, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire are also expected to be among the hottest areas, with temperatures expected to drop into the low 30s. Parts of Cambridgeshire can even reach 35C.
In its long-term outlook from Friday 10 July to Sunday 19 July, the Met Office says: “Daytime temperatures will be quite warm, very hot or even very hot in parts of the south.”
But the weather will remain uncertain and unstable and the Met Office also said parts of the north and west of England could experience heavy rain or thunderstorms.
Dry and very hot weather is expected in England and Wales, but the risk of storms from France will remain.
