Embattled U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner faces a second explosive allegation of sexual impropriety just 24 hours after he was accused of rape — all while a key campaign decision deadline looms.

In a new report published by The Washington Post, the candidate from Maine was accused of removing condoms with his ex-girlfriend Lyndsey Fifield after explicitly instructing her to wear them during sexual intercourse.

“He would take the condoms off.” he told the Washington Post. “He would do it on the sly. He wouldn’t tell me.”

Fifield, 41, has previously accused Platner of physical abuse during their relationship, saying he sometimes grabbed her hard enough to leave marks on her body and once pushed her into a bedroom with his arm around her back and kept the door closed until she “calmed down.”

These concerns were largely dismissed by Platner’s supporters, who characterized Fifield, who once worked at The Heritage Foundation, as a conservative operative.

“I confronted him both during and after [sex] Because he knew I wasn’t using birth control and how dangerous it was,” Fifield told The Post, adding that Fifield had made these allegations in a previous interview, but that they were strictly off the record.

THE LAST DEMOCRATIC CLAIMING PLATNER CLAIMS THAT THE SENATE CANDIDATE ‘DEFINITELY’ RAPED HER

Jenny Racicot, 41, told POLITICO that Platner drunkenly broke into her home and raped her during their on-again, off-again romantic relationship in 2021. She claimed he ejaculated inside her after repeatedly telling her to stop.

“I remember him grabbing my pelvis and being really forceful with me,” Racicot said at the press conference, which she said took place while Platner was “almost blackout drunk” in Washington, D.C. “I remember the moment when I thought to myself, ‘This is not my choice anymore.'”

Platner also categorically denied these allegations in a video released immediately after the POLITICO story was published.

He said his campaign is taking time to consider possible next steps because the race has an important deadline looming.

If another Democratic candidate to be chosen by the party is replaced before the November general election, Platner must withdraw from the race by 17:00 on Monday, July 13.

From Monday evening to Tuesday, a group of previous supporters withdrew their support for Platner and called for him to withdraw from the race; among them progressive Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., are two of his most ardent supporters.

“Now more than ever, we need leaders in Washington who reflect our values. There can be no tolerance for sexual assault,” Warren said in a statement Monday night. he said.
