Tens of thousands of people take to streets for London Trans+ Pride 2025 | Transgender

Organizers said that more than 100,000 people went to the streets for London Trans+ Pride 2025 on Saturday, making it the biggest event in the world.

Rota, Regent’s Street, Piccadilly and Trafalgar Square took the center of the most famous areas of the capital. Heartstopper and Doctor Who actor Yasmin Finney resulted in speakers in Parliament Square.

The theme of the activity was “existence and resistance ında in response to the British Supreme Court decision in April, which said that the legal definition of a woman was based on biological gender.

Lewis G Burton, one of the founding members of London Trans+ Pride, said: “This year’s London Trans+ Pride made history once again, walked in the center of more than 100,000 trans+ people and allied London – 60,000 people shattered our own world record and continued our inheritance as the greatest trans+ pride activity in history.

“It was an emotional and powerful day. At a time when the Supreme Court takes comprehensive decisions about trans people without consulting a single trans person or organization, and a small, well-financed lobby of anti-transnistics campaignists came together to show how real power, solidarity and care seems when our community continued to dominate and waste public resources.

Orum I am honored to make platforms of some of the most inspiring activists, organizers and trans people from around the world. London Trans+ Pride was a vital action of resistance and joy – trans+ people reminded that they were not alone, celebrated and belonged.

“The message was clear: we will not be erased. Our existence is natural, historical and permanent. You can try to get our rights, but you will never remove us from the society. We are a part of humanity – and will not stop while damaging our people’s community.”

Alex Parmar-Yee from the Trans+ Solidarity Alliance said, “It is important to make sure that emotions are in terms of the rights we fight, and that it is also very clear to protest some harmful offers that are now taken into consideration.”

The Equality and Human Rights Commission referred to the temporary guidance and said, “This guidance has not provided any additional clarity and in fact, trans people (WHO) will lose access to basic services and fields.

“The main concern here is that the transfers of the community are not taken into account and that this guidance will feel as it will pass through closed doors without examination and visibility and without democracy.”

Parmar-yee also expressed concerns about the rhetoric used in public and online debates of trans rights: “Retoric helps. There is too much hatred.

“And I think you see that this is all over the world, and then you see that it is reflected in politics.

“You are looking at the proposed bathroom ban, and even though we think that England is quite different from a country like America, you realize that there is a ban on a bath that will make someone like Donald Trump proud.”

Authorized, Trans+ Solidarity Alliance, a non -profit organization that supports trans rights organizations and activists, said that the next step was a call for transparency in guidance after the Supreme Court decision.

“There is a lack of transparency and I think we cannot be a nation that accepts a ban on a bath behind closed doors,” he said.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people in Berlin danced to Techno Beats to celebrate the pride parade of the German capital, one of the largest LGBTQ+ celebrations in Europe.
